Project Overview

· The Shanghai center Building is the tallest building in China, with a total height of 632 meters. Its core tube and external frame are made of high-strength steel (Q390 and Q420), which significantly reduces the deadweight and improves the seismic performance.


Steel application

· External curtain wall support structure: weather resistant steel frame

· Core tube: welded high-strength steel plate


Technical highlights

· Innovative "mega frame core tube extension arm" structure, with a steel consumption of 100000 tons.


Achievements

· Achieve seismic resistance of level 8 and typhoon resistance of level 16, becoming a benchmark for green buildings.
